## Description

The Stormguard CDX compression threshold sill 914mm (3'0") Aluminium prevents water wind and rain coming under the door. It is fitted with a strong rubber seal to prevent draughts. It is suitable for doors with a gap 15mm-18mm from the bottom of the door to the floor

Review: Not too big cumbersome, pretty perfect for the job - this worked an absolute treat, one of our clients was complaining that when it rained heavy his mat well was filling with water so we installed one of these and it made all the difference keeping the water out. It doesn’t sit too high, therefore it poses no problem as a trip hazard.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this fit and work with out taking the door off**
A: Not possible I would say. The bottom of the door has to be cut to the correct height and angle to seat properly on the rubber strip.

**Q: How much is the space between the screw holes?**
A: I drilled my own holes so unsure what the original ones measured at.

**Q: Can the hall carpet tuck underneath this for neat finish?**
A: Yes but we do recommend applying some adhesive sealant to both the channels, whereas if that was applied on the inside channel, the sealant would just be sticking to the carpet and depending on the thickness, the carpet may raise the threshold at one side. Also, please note that the bottom of the door needs to be cut at a slight angle for this threshold, so the door needs to be removed. There are fitting instructions in the link below:

If it is not possible to remove the door, then you may want to look at the SG100, which is a very similar threshold, but you can fit with the door in place with no need to cut it.

**Q: can i use on upvc door?**
A: You have to screw it to the floor,and the floor has to be flat. On most UPVC doors the bottom of the doorway has a lip and is not flat. If you only have a UPVC door and the doorway is wooden then you should be able to fasten it to the floor.
