It seems to be very effective in correcting mild posture issues and allowing you to do the same if you have the muscle tone to do so.For moderate to moderately severe posture problems and/or moderately severe pain, one will need to take things very slow and not expect too much, too fast. I anticipate it might help slow down my own back issues from decades of scoliosis and more recent muscle tone loss.Initially, I felt more pain -- not immediately --so I loosened up the straps and tried a more gentle position. Even if it doesn't feel like it is working, it is! -- in regards to stretching muscles and tendons. I would say pain is improving but I can't be sure if it is from the device or time -- I suspect both as I strained muscles in recent weeks.As far as ease of use, it is once you have the straps in line.
