I will address this later in my review. The scent opens synthetically for maybe 5 minutes, which is slightly unpleasant to me. Although after 10 minutes, this mess of a scent cleans itself up and becomes more rounded. At this point, it smells reasonable, considering the price (£23), but this is not a "beast" nor does it really compare to its rival Tom Ford Oud Wood. It has its similarities, and comes close at some points, but if you're looking for a direct "clone" this is not it. However, to the untrained nose, you might get away with it. Try going to a boutique to sample some luxury Oud Woods and you will see why this is the case. The projection and silage is okay, maybe 30 minutes of projection and the silage is meh for 1 hour, then starts to become a skin scent. Now they have almost doubled the price, this makes it far more difficult to justify. The new price range opens the doors to many other fragrances, which generally smell less synthetic. A result of this price increase, I have reduced a star for its scent & value for money. Edit: after reading this review a few weeks later, I feel I was harsh, and probably too pro-Tom-Ford, especially considering this is competing against a fragrance that is literally several times more expensive. I must say it is pretty damn good when considering the price relative to competition. Although, now I feel any similar competitor would probably be better value than Tom Ford’s Oud Wood. This smells 90% like tom ford oud wood although it lasts alittle longer and better sillage. The opening is alittle loud where as tom ford has a smoother and more rounded opening. However, on the dry down no one can tell this apart from the original. With fragrance prices today being extorniate in this day and age this is perfect price. Tom ford is around £200 and this £20 so no brainer. This is the future now with companies producing the same fragrance for fraction of the price and I'm all for it. When i use to start wearing fragrances a 100ml use to cost around £40 but had great longevity and sillage. Today you spend £200 and it is watered down and money wasted. In that amount you can buy several alternatives. Overall if you looking for a tom ford oud wood replacement this is the best you will find for the price.
