These pond guards are a great solution. They float and provide enough protection for our fish. They can be easily snipped to a smaller size/shape to fit around plants or in corners and we found it quite easy to clip them together with the connectors. It stayed just below the surface of the water and water lilies grew up through it. This made it quite difficult to remove old leaves completely and to take it out at the end of the year. It was less unsightly than a net draped over the pond and it allowed frogs etc to exit. Unfortunately most of our fish had already been taken by cats and heron before we purchased it.
