This is a very intricate-looking model when completed. My 12-year-old son completed this model and it looks fantastic. Just make sure you follow directions and the assembly of the model is fairly easy. If a piece of the model requires bending, apply creases before assembly. **Q: Is this wood or foam?** A: Foam. You can finish it without any glue or tools. **Q: Can you take it apart once you are done, and put it back in the box?** A: We have never tried. We have the completed ones all over the house because it's how my husband is entertaining himself during COVID. He says these National Geographic puzzles might be difficult to put together again because they fit small tabs into adjoining pieces, and those tabs are a pretty tight fit. When you force them out again, they may become looser the next time you want to put them in.
