The 2,300-foot range is legitimate and the sound quality is consistent even when I'm far from the base. It’s a solid, reliable system for a large home. My only real gripe is the intercom feature. On my old system, I could just press one button on the receiver and dial the extension. With this VTech model, there are too many steps and menu scrolls just to talk to another room.
