I used to have another product purchased from Amazon (which was cheaper) though it only had Windows based drivers.I recently switched to Ubuntu and was disappointed that there isn't a simple way to install the drivers for the other product.Then on searching for similar products on Amazon, I found few which were having comparatively very high price, some even touching price of a new monitor itself.This specific product was comparatively cheaper and has other features besides its main functionality of working as additional VGA/HDMI port for your laptop.Best thing for this product was, as mentioned in its product page, its drivers worked with Ubuntu (Linux) like a charm with no issues as such encountered during their installation or later product use.So, if you're on Linux and need an additional VGA/HDMI port for your PC/laptop, go for it blindly. Though do check if your flavor of Linux is supported. Display quality is good , i am using on a FHD monitor in windows 11. Grt product for the price and very easy install ( Driver download and install takes sometime). You can configure the monitors independently to what ever mode you want like extended or duplicate, portrait or landscape. It appears as new displays in display settings. Overall recommended.
