Those gaps might not be too big of a deal, but one important detail is that there is no lever for fine length adjustment. If all you want is an even buzz or a fade between the first two guards (they include a 4-9 mm angled one) then you're ok. Anything else and you might be out of luck. **Q: Can it be used for the groin area?** A: Make sure hair is clean and dry as wet hair tends to stick to the body and, when trimming sensitive areas, always use a body guard. **Q: can I use this in the shower?** A: I have bought 2 of these and stored them in the shower each time.
