It’s secures to the bottom of your camera and even has a backup connection should virtually impossible happen and the main attachment fails. You won’t have any problems in worrying. about how secure your camera and lens are. My only negative against it is that if you’re using a long telephoto lens, it tends to stick out sideways or behind you or even in front when you have it in the side position.
