The International Table Tennis Federation changed the specifications for table tennis balls to be made from a less flammable (as nitrocellulose) plastic. Any ball marked "40+" are the new specifications. You might be able to still find the old 40mm or even 38mm that are still made of cellulose nitrate. **Q: Why the letters on the balls are not Regail like the ones I bought before?** A: I don't know. Does it really matter. **Q: I would like to use for water game; are there any holes in ball?** A: No holes in balls. **Q: Do they work for cats to play with?** A: We have been very satisfied with these ping pong balls. If you have used other ping pong balls for cats to play with then I have to believe these would also work. We do not have any cats and have not been able to convince our dogs to play with these.
