I've found instuctions on fitting the bottom part, but not for removing the post - I want to wall mount** A: The vertical post comes mounted, however you can remove it by removing the cover over the ports with 2 small Phillips screws in. This is supported by Phillips and does NOT invalidate your warranty. be aware that it takes a little force to get the cover off once you have taken the screws out, I had to use a screwdriver to lever it off. **Q: What is the hight of the monitor including the stand** A: 525mm **Q: Does it have a scart lead socket** A: I'm afraid not, just D-Sub VGA, Hdmi, DVI and audio in/out 3.5mm jacks. **Q: Hi can you purchase a remote for this monitor? There is no need for a remote. :) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great price performance relationship and image quality *by C***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2019* This Phillips monitor has perceivable superior color compared to my Acer H277HU IPS monitor, and the color on the Acer Monitor is very good. The panel has almost no IPS glow, just a smidge on the top left corner, almost not noticeable and the image quality is very crisp. It has DSUV, Hdmi and DP input connections, I now use it on a daily basis connected to my 2017 13inch MacBook Pro. The OSD menu is not the best but is very good, operable by a small joystick on the bottom center of the monitor, I'm sure they've got their inspiration from LG. The monitor can do 75Hz and has freesync but I haven't tested the monitor with games so I can't comment on the latency or if it has ghosting. It is a very bright monitor, it has an sRGB mode which has the best color accuracy but the brightness it's just too much and unfortunately you can not control the brightness in this color mode. You have to revert to a normal "User Setting" to be able to turn the brightness down, but the color remains great anyway, the white color temperature is correct. The issue of not being able to turn down the brightness in the sRGB mode and the horrible sound quality (but okay enough for youtube and podcasts, radio, etc.) and volume, and not having VESA are the only caveats. The sound in a monitor is not important to me, because I use studio headphones. At a price of 187gbp this was a great deal, highly recommended if you can get this monitor for less than 220gbp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Quite good, not perfect *by R***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 November 2017* This monitor is big, bright and colourful, it has a nice glossy surface, the stand is excellent, and the screen tilts conveniently. It's well made, easy to set up and the menu system is good. There is just one button on the back. Press for power, or push up, down, left and right to navigate the menus. Very cool.Speakers are loud enough and good for speech, not good for music and movies. You can connect external speakers through the headphone socket, or from your computer's sound card, whatever.Here's why I don't give it 5 stars:* It's too bright. The brightness is suitable for a TV screen, but up close it dazzles and hurts your eyes. Put your face 50cm from your TV and you might see what I mean. I found that setting the brightness to 0 (zero) was a comfortable setting. The default brightness seems to be 100%, and it resets to 100 whenever you switch colour modes between 'Color Temperature', 'sRGB' and 'User Define'.* Colour is too yellow. My wife's an artist. She said the balance was too yellow. I didn't notice/care, however it was possible to fix (see below).* There are small shadowy patches all along the bottom and sides which are more prominent at certain viewing angles. Not a big deal, we only notice when looking at pages with white backgrounds.* Software and drivers: monitor comes with a CD which opens a page with a link to Philips web site! Sort of a waste of time! Also the web site is not required, because Windows already has a copy of the best driver... On Windows 10, if you open 'Display Settings', and click 'Display adapter properties', then select 'Monitor' (tab), then click the button labelled 'Properties', then click tab 'Driver', then click the button 'Update Driver', you can select the option to 'Search automatically...' and Windows will install the correct driver, exactly the same as the one on Philips' web site. DON'T BOTHER installing the software program called 'SmartControl' - it's not smart. The program is 80MB+ (large), it does almost nothing, it requires admin rights to run, and half the features are disabled for this monitor when connected over hdmi. If you want software to control brightness and contrast, look at your graphics card instead. I don't know why hardware manufacturers still peddle such lame software with their products - if you can't write good software, why assault us with it? You only need Windows and a graphics driver, no 3rd party rubbish.We have settled on 30% brightness, 'Custom Define' colours set to R:85, G:85, B:100. At higher brightness from 50%+, we found the best reproduction was R:95, G:95, B:100.We wondered whether 32" would be a good size for a desktop monitor, with Windows 10. When viewing web sites etc from approx 50cm, Windows 10 text looks a little bit pixelated. Graphics and video look smooth, vibrant and beautiful. I think 28" is probably the optimal size for an HD monitor, 32" is stretching things a little too much. Saying that, I'm happy with it, you can sit back and watch comfortably from further away. The IPS screen means it doesn't look shadowy or negative when viewing from wide angles, but don't expect miracles, it's still best when viewed head on, from a narrower angle.Update: forgot to mention box contents:Euro + UK power cables;+ VGA cable (not sure why);+ 3.5mm stereo cable (only needed for PC sound to built in speakers if connecting over DVI or VGA, but same cable could be used to attach external speakers to the headphone socket too);+ CD containing driver and manuals;+ Quick start guide.Box comes sealed with a piece of 'Philips' packing tape. Screen well protected in a foam bag, all plastic parts covered in protective film. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal monitor for media consumption *by W***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2019* Large, bright, sharp, deep blacks, incredibly vivid colours. I bought this as a media consumption monitor (mostly for watching anime), and for this it excels. You can also comfortably use it for gaming; it ghosts surprisingly little for a monitor of its type, and it makes anything you throw at it look incredible.In my current setup, I have it alongside a 21.5" 1080p monitor, and the PPI is fairly well matched; it's more than usable set up like this, using the 1080p monitor for gaming and the 1440p one for general media.There are only a couple of minor issues I have:- The product page isn't clear, but the monitor does support Freesync and a 75Hz refresh rate with a supported graphics card. Unfortunately, I had some issues when trying to get this work with my GTX 1060 and G-Sync Compatible, with the monitor rebooting into regular 60Hz mode after a few minutes -- you might have a different experience with an AMD card. Also note that at time of writing using Freesync on an Nvidia card requires a DisplayPort cable, which is unfortunately not included.- As an anti-burn-in measure, it has a Pixel Orbiting feature where the image will periodically offset by a couple of pixels. I haven't noticed any burn-in, but the shifting can result in images being cut off, and it's a little jarring if you catch it when it shifts. You can turn this off in the options, so it's no problem.- It doesn't have a VESA mount. I'm not planning on wall-mounting it, and the stand is very nice (a solid chunk of metal), but unfortunately it's not height adjustable. Again, a missing nice-to-have.- The built-in speakers are pretty bad, and very tinny. Luckily, I bought a monitor, not a pair of speakers; they're okay for speech, and will do in a pinch for anything else.- The sRGB mode only works at 100% brightness, which is way too bright for most viewing settings. A user-defined profile still produces exceptional image quality, though.In the interest of transparency, I got this on the 15th July 2019 in the Prime Day sale for £170, and for this price at this point in time it's an absolute steal.
