And for such a reasonable price, why would you want to use anything else? The quality is as close to perfect as anything you'll find, and Ruthex also makes an excellent set of insert tools which fit nicely into many of the currently available soldering irons. For these reasons, I've purchased these in a range of sizes along with the Ruthex insertion tools. I can't recommend these enough, and have a hard time understanding why any manufacturer of brass inserts is still using brass containing lead and cadmium. Sadly, I don't know of any U.S. insert manufacturers which use lead free/cadmium free brass. I've actually called them and asked. Hopefully next year, RFK Jr. can start changing this.
