It wrote, and did wipe off. But I know it is more difficult to wipe off the longer you leave it, but we use a damp/wet cloth which seems to do the job. Hope this helps **Q: How long do these pens last once used? And do you have any storage advice?** A: I bought these for our Skittles Team and we used them every week the pack should last at least for six months if used sensibly like shaking the pen each time you use it and also by putting the top back on each time .I stored them myself in a draw but not near heat as they can dry up if the top isn’t put back correctly also be ware some people can be a bit heavy handed using them so the gentle touch is needed . I just used water and a sponge and a lot of elbow grease **Q: Can they be used on ceramic objects like vases** A: These will write on anything bearing in mind the colour you are writing on to bring out the best from the ink. Once the ink is dry you need a wet wipe to take the ink off.
