You can fit 24 in the more spacious troop transport. **Q: Why is this so grossly over priced?** A: This set has not been produced by Lego for several years, so there is a very limited number of unopened sets - thus the price goes up. **Q: how about box condition??** A: That's the one bad thing about this set, along with the 10240 UCS Xwing fighter. Really chuffed, one of the longer builds I've done, lots of pieces, bags all numbered the same so obviously previous generation of logo design I. E. New ones have numbered bags so you only need to open a few at a time. It's really big, challenging to an extent and really chuffed to bits. Just wish I had purchased before it went out of production.
