Going to remove a double socket leaving the wiring inside the cavity. Would this be suitable to cap the wires. Thanks** A: The simple answer is yes, it would. In fact Wago is the only recommended style of "fit and forget" on the market that I would use. NOTE: If you were to fit screw terminals the connections would have to continue to be accessible at all times for maintenance purposes. Do you have enough room in your wiring cavity for a Wago box? If not just use Wago 222 32A connectors and fit a cover plate of your choice. NoteL If the cover plate is metallic you will have to earth it, so choose the number of connections on your Wago blocks accordingly. **Q: Is it waterproof** A: No, there are no seals on the version I bought but I have used the connectors inside a bespoke waterproof junction box. With most you can easily remove the terminal block and then use the Wago connectors.. **Q: Isn't this half the price from screwfix?** A: While I am not Amazon's Customer Services obviously.. If you select Amazon as the seller, the price is the same as Screwfix, you just have to buy 6 of them - but then, some dude brings them to your door, so you don't have to brave Screwfix and the cost of travel to and from. If I was you, I would just buy 6 from Amazon and be done with it. **Q: What terminal ends are being used in this box?** A: I used Lever Nut Assortment Conductor, Electrical Connectors Blocks. These fit in neatly in the box and are east to use. I would think that ordinary screw connectors will be fine. I bought this, to repace a ceiling rose fitting in th ebathroom, where i needed to connect in an extractor fan. So 4 cables in total and it was a tight squeeze.
