I bought this one because the picture shows a screw down connection but actually received the push-down type. Not as shown which was a little annoying as it took 3 attempts to get a good connection since I don't possess the specific tool for this job. Luckily I have a multimeter so was able to test the circuit board for incoming voltage, otherwise I may have thought a bigger problem. **Q: how to fit it** A: As per previous customers answer, I was replacing an old and tatty looking box. So just noted previous wiring connections whilst removing the old box and then fitted the new one making the same connections Seemed quite easy at the time. **Q: Can I use this box to connect an old wire ( Two copper lines only) into my premises** A: Without seeing your particular installation, In nearly all existing lines into domestic premises only two out of the sometimes many of the coloured lines coming in are required. Inside the box they are generally connected straight to the screws at 'B' terminal. And inside the box in the home, only the 'Blue with white stripes' and 'White with blue stripe' lines should be used on the terminals of 2 and 5 . However sometimes DIY'ers or older installations have used different coloured lines so keep an eye from where you remove them and replace exactly the same! In short...Yes! **Q: My internet is always dropping... Have tried with all different wifi settings... Is it worth replacing my very old socket with this?** A: I tried replacing with this one and had to call out BT it still wouldn't work , and he said that it wasn't fit for purpose and fitted me one for free with the correct bt logo on. It didn't actually make any difference but did help to isolate the extension wiring for fault diagnoses (turned out to be the router).
