It is starchy and will need to be washed at least 5 times in warm water to get rid of the starch. When the water looks clear, it is ready to put on the hob/stove. For 2 cups of rice. i put a bit of salt and 1/4 tablespoon of sunflower/vegetable oil in the rice and bring to cook on high setting on my hob. The oil ensures it does not stick together and thereby you get very fluffy rice. Cook for 20-25mins. Check the firmness of rice grains in 15mins. If getting nice and semi soft turn heat down to medium and allow water to dry.
