The cats are white, with a fuzzy texture. They can be coloured with the felt tipped pens (provided). The stickers can then be coloured and stuck onto the camper van to give it hippy chic. The surf board (handle) unclips and can also be decorated with coloured in stickers, so that the fuzzies can enjoy the full surfer experience. My daughter is treating it like a work in progress. The pens clip into the case, so that stickers can be created and added while on the move. The cats are about the same size as Sylvanian animals, so they have had a chance to join in the fun too!I particularly like this kit because it combines creativity with imaginary play.
