I also always grease all the swivel bushings on the lower unit. I had no idea how tight this helm was until I removed it to replace it. I couldn't turn it by hand and had to use channel locks to even get it to move. The new one turns effortlessly, I can steer with one finger. It was a direct replacement for the one that was in my bayliner capri, very easy to install.
