**Q: are the blades metal/steel?**
A: Yes, made of metal. I would add, I personally feel safe letting 4/5 year olds use them. My grand daughter (6) says they are so so good and cut  much better than her school ones!

A: Not stiff that I recall. I think they are pretty good.

**Q: Will these scissors cut fabric?**
A: Hi Linsey, I got them to cut paper and they do this well. I just tried them on fabric and I'm afraid they don't. I have looked, without success, for precision scissors with fancy edges but think the only thing would be dressmaker's pinking shears. Best wishes, M
