Sil-Poxy Silicone Adhesive Sil-Poxy is a one component adhesive made specifically for bonding RTV silicone rubber to silicone rubber and other substrates including some plastics (urethane), plasters/ceramics, fabrics, etc. Sil-Poxy will work with tin or platinum-cure silicones and provides a strong, flexible bond between silicone parts with high elongation. I bought this product expecting it to bond rubber as the description claims, but it doesn’t work at all. I tried it on several rubber surfaces, and there was no adhesion whatsoever. Very disappointing and misleading — it’s not suitable for rubber, despite what the listing says.

Smooth-On SIL-Poxy is easily one of the best adhesives available for repairing silicone. If you're working with silicone props, FX pieces, or wearable silicone items, this is essentially the industry standard. I used it to repair a large tear in the mouth area of a silicone FX mask, and the bond held extremely well once cured. The repair blended nicely and restored the integrity of the material. I also used it to fix a couple of small rips in a silicone bodysuit that occurred from putting it on and taking it off, and it handled those repairs without any issues. The adhesive cures quickly, forms a strong, flexible bond, and is specifically designed for silicone-to-silicone repairs, which most standard glues simply cannot handle. It does require a bit of patience and precision during application since silicone adhesives can be messy if overapplied, but once you get the hang of it, it works incredibly well. Overall, this is the gold standard for silicone repair products. If you need to fix silicone masks, props, or wearable silicone pieces, SIL-Poxy is one of the most reliable options available.
