Product Description SEACHEM - Prime 4L - (159.0880) Directions Use 1 capful (5mL) for each 200L of new water. For smaller volumes please note each cap thread which is roughly 1mL. Prime may be added to the tank directly but it is better all round if added to new water first. If added straight into the tank base dose on water volume. Please note a smell of sulphur is quite normal. For very high chloramine concentrations a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency you may use up to 5 times normal dose. If the temperature is 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use half a dose. **Q: What dosage would i need for a 45 litre tank please**
A: I prepare my water in 10 litre buckets, I put 5 drops in each bucket of water before adding to the tank. So for 45 litres of fresh water you would need 23 drops.
The bottle comes with a flip lid and a small hole so it is very easy to dispense one drop at a time.
It doesn’t seem a lot but it works, the best you can buy. I never use anything else.

**Q: I’ve been trying to cycle a new sponge filter 60 litre freshwater tank and nitrites level is high. Can this product help reduce nitrite levels?**
A: Yes it will, but reducing nitrates isn't it's main feature, do small daily or every 2 days water changes, the levels have to spike before they drop,add some fish food even if the tank is empty and also check the tap water levels.

**Q: Very expensive its only£6 80 in my local pet shop have you anything cheaper**
A: Prime is very concentrated. You only need 10ml to treat 400 Litres! most other products require about 10ml to treat 40 L. So it lasts about 10 times as long as them.
If its double the price... that's still 5 times better value.
Prime also detoxifies ammonia and nitrite.

**Q: do you need to use this every 48 hours? or just the once then every week when doing a 20% water change?**
A: If you want to use this specifically to detoxify high levels of nitrite, nitrate etc, then you need to dose every 48 hours. 
If you wish to use it to condition water change water, then you only need to add it to the water that you're putting into the aquarium.

I've been using Seachem Prime Water Conditioner for years. One of the things I appreciate most about Seachem Prime is that it's very concentrated. I only need to use a small amount of the conditioner to treat my entire tank, which means that a single bottle lasts for a long time. This is particularly important for me, as I have a large tank and was previously using a less concentrated water conditioner that required me to use more of the product. Another great thing about Seachem Prime is that it's very easy to use. I simply add the recommended amount of conditioner to my tank each time I do a water change, and it does the rest of the work. Seachem Prime also has the added benefit of not affecting the pH level of my tank. This is particularly important for me, as I have a delicate ecosystem in my tank that requires a consistent pH level. I've found that some other water conditioners can cause fluctuations in pH levels, which can be harmful to my fish and plants. With Seachem Prime, I don't have to worry about this issue. Overall, I would definitely recommend Seachem Prime Water Conditioner to any fish owner looking for an effective and concentrated water conditioner. It does a great job of detoxifying tap water and keeping my fish healthy, without affecting the pH level of my tank.
