Once the clamps are adjusted to suit your desk thickness, they provide a really secure platform on which to secure your throttle and/or flight stick. Having said that, after paying £70 plus I was surprised at the amount of assembly required ie all of it. Be prepared to spend around 45 mins total time to putting the two mounts together. The instructions are adequate but the leaflet I received did not relate to what I had in front of me. It would appear that there has been a minor upgrade to the product that supersedes the instructions. Specifically, the instructions (and packing list) make reference to 2 top plates and associated non-slip rubber pads that are now already integrated onto the body panels. Similarly, the adjustable height adjusting bolts are attached to the clamps and are not separate items as shown in the unpacking list. Final attachment of the throttle and stick are pretty left to you to work out. As I said, these seem well made and secure desk mounts at a reasonable price compared to some other equivalents on the flight sim market. Very solid, and have all the required fittings for my new Winwing Orion 2 HOTAS. Excellent value for money, would recommend.
