NCD Medical 512 Frequency Tuning Fork

i got this to practice for osce exams. It’s nice and compact so able to transport easily. the tuning fork feels like it’s very good quality and won’t break easily. It works well and hopefully i won’t need to buy again bc it seems like it will last a long time

I was looking for a small, lightweight tuning fork to carry in my medical bag and this was just perfect. I used it for Rinne and Weber tests and works absolutely fine.

I am surprised by the negative reviews here. This is a basic 512 Hz tuning fork that can be used in clinic for hearing testing(Rinne's Weber's) and does that well. One cannot check vibration sensations during a neurological examination with a 512Hz tuning fork, you need one with a frequency of 128 or lower for it.

Good for Rinne’s not for Weber’s/vibration testing

No good for use in medicine as it doesn't transmit vibration, the whole point of its use in the neuro exam.

No vibrations at all

Maybe this will be too light and the sound too short, but for home use, especially the middle of the head check it's fine
