## Overview

Polyp Lab Medic 30ml is a scientifically engineered water conditioner designed to treat Marine Ich, Freshwater Ich, and Marine Velvet by targeting both attached and free-swimming parasite stages. Completely reef safe and harmless to invertebrates, it requires a 10-day twice-daily dosing regimen to break parasite life cycles effectively, making it the go-to solution for serious aquarium hobbyists committed to healthy, vibrant aquatic ecosystems.

## Description

How Polyp Lab Medic works: Many external fish parasites have very similar life cycles. In particular, these parasites have an "attached" stage (trophonts), a "matured" stage (protomonts), a "reproductive" stage (tomonts), and a "free-swimming" stage (theronts/dinospores). Most available treatments do not target the free-swimming stage of the parasite which is one of the primary difficulties in dealing with these infections. Research with ciliated protozoans has shown that the "free-swimming" stage of these parasites have remarkably consistent hatching times. We have engineered our product to be most efficient during this stage. Our conditioner targets the trophont stage of the parasite but is also disrupting the life cycle during the "free-swimming" stage. Thus, when using Medic, hobbyists should try to maintain the highest concentration of the medication during this "free-swimming" timeframe - when the oxidative component in the medication is particularly effective against theronts/dinospores. Active Ingredients: Crystallized Peroxide Salts. Directions: For in tank treatment: Use one level scoop of Medic for every 190 litres of your system volume twice per day. Dose once in the morning (Before 10am if possible). Dose once in the evening (After 10pm if possible). Continue to dose for 10 days. Note: Ozone and carbon must not be used during the treatment. Protein skimmers can be run as normal. UV filter can be use 1 hour after product has been add to the aquarium/sump The infection may seem to disappear when white specks are no longer visible on the fish. This is merely part of the natural cycle of the parasite and you must continue dosing the product for the entire course (10 days) to be maximally effective. After treatment is complete, run granular activated carbon for 2 or 3 days. Store product in a cool and dry location, away from direct sunlight. Please contact for Further Information.

Review: Amazing at getting rid of whitespot. - Amazing at getting rid of whitespot. Saved my fish. Easy to use. The best there is . Reef safe. 🐠🐟🐡
Review: Worked for me - Worked for me along with a pinch of ground ginger every day, none of my corals where affected and after day 7/8 the visible signs had gone. But having heavily researched ick, velvet, white spot, brook I realised it can and probably is still in the tank so will keep a close eye on the fish. What I would also say is if you like me have a big reef system and a catching and quarantining fish is not an option then what do you have to lose We all know this is an expensive hobby and tbf it’s worth trying if it means saving your fish. Keep your skimmer on to skim the dead parasites but turn carbon or reactors off

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this product contain copper?**
A: Obviously no copper or all the corals would die. Also make sure there are no undissolved crystals when adding the solution to the tank. If possible add the solution slowly to a filter sock.

**Q: Does this work for both freshwater and saltwater ich?**
A: We have used it in our salt water tank. I’m not sure that it eliminates the infection- since when we stop using it the white spot comes back- but it does suppress it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good product in my personal experience
*by R***A on 11 September 2020*

This 4 star review is based on my personal experience which contains too many variables to certainly say 100% for sure that this medicine works. However I hope you read this and draw your own conclusions. We setup a 7 foot/600L marine tank. About 6 months in we introduced a vampire tang which sadly only lasted about 4 weeks before dying of whitespot. In that time we tried numerous different "reef safe" treatments eg Kordons Ich treatment and API and another one I can't remember. None prevented the tang's death and all of them made some of the corals close up but in the long run didn't harm anything. 4 months later we bought a purple tang and within a week it showed signs of white spot! Now tangs are notoriously known for being susceptible to white spot/ich and I haven't heard many success stories of them surviving once they have it unless you have a quarantine tank and can give them strong medicines which would otherwise harm shrimps etc. We do not have a quarantine tank and did not want to risk our other inhabitants so bought this Polyplab product. It does sound expensive but you get a lot for your money (especially when you spend £120 on a tang!). We have about a 700L system including the sump and we had enough for about 2 weeks worth of dosing. We followed instructions and turned off necessary things like carbon during dosing. It is now a year in (about 2 months after finishing treatment) and the tang is healthy and happy and there is no sign of white spots. All other fish during treatment were fine and no corals or clean up crew were affected. I have read that purple tangs are slightly more resilient than others when it comes to health issues, however I personally believe this medicine helped particularly after our previous bad experiences with other reef safe products. Over all if you care about your fish's health, and you've spent a lot on a fish you want to survive, don't quibble over price and just try everything you can to save it. This is my personal experience, I hope yours is as successful :) x
