It can reduce the ignitability and flammability of soft and hard wood and other wood derivatives, for example - plywood, chipboard, fibre insulation board, hard board, and veneering. Zeroflame fireproofing for wood and timber insulates against heat, checks fire, prevents propagation of fire and diminishes flue-gas density and flue-gas temperature - making it ideal for communal areas such as hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts, homes, workplaces, etc. Zeroflame Fire Retardant Paint is for interior use only, and is not suitable for surfaces exposed to mechanical stress. It is suitable for use over sound existing coatings and can be over-coated with standard latex paints where a decorative finish is required, applied at a total dry film thickness not exceeding 35 microns if desired.
