Now at home I had a set of screw bushes that didn't have the length of thread engagement i would have liked so I got the Loctite 270 to retain the Bushes. At work I would have used probably Loctite 648 for its high strength, but at home I don't need the high temperature resistance. Clean both parts to be joined, degrease them and if available apply Activator. Make sure the gap between surfaces doesn't exceed the grade of Loctite you're using. Wipe off excess and allow to cure. As a precaution, I test assembled a couple Bushes using scrap bits to recreate accurately the dimensions and materials. On my test Bush I started deforming the head before the thread gave away.
