Luckily I sit in a very upright position but even like that with the straps pulled tight there's only a couple of inches pulled through the buckle. On long trips these are always going to become slack and need tightening. I wondered if I had made a mistake as some of the feedback wasn't very good. The seats arrived the following day (in less than 24 hrs from Cornwall to Pembrokeshire) and I was very impressed with the quality. Good solid brass clips, well constructed. The only thing I'm sceptical about is the zip for the rear storage pocket. I suspect this will not last for long in sea water, but I'm not really bothered if it sticks.
