The soap (ive bought the black one since i have mostly black boots) should do fine if done right. But id say this, the human mind is not prepped for dark soap. So if you want to play safe, Go white or Yellow for brown or lighter colors. Some pictures look like the black soap.** A: I ordered from Mr. Shoe Care what I thought was "WHITE". I received a "YELLOW" can and the soap in side was "YELLOW". It did a great job. I am not an expert, so using it is a bit confusing. The directions on the tin say that I should wait until it dries, then wipe it off. So, I used a sponge to apply the soap all over the boots, but it dried quickly in my case, and I couldn't really wipe it off. It might be better to put the soap on the boots in a section, wipe it, and move on to another section.
