It might be the default number for the strip codes. You have to change it to match the code on your box of strips. Make sure you match it to the correct species (cat or dog) as the code for these is different. My suggestion would be to watch the 'how to' videos here: https://www.zoetisus.com/products/dogs/alphatrakmeter/resources.aspx and on youtube. I had to this a couple of times in the beginning as it can all be a tad overwhelming. If you think there might be a problem with the strips, try using the control liquid to test one of them, and if you think the problem might be in the monitor, try contacting zoetis.
