## Description

Read, edit and backup personal information stored on any GSM SIM, 3G USIM, Iridium and Inmarsat cards. The SIM Reader reads the card directly and doesn't depend on the phone model. The software that accompanies the card reader is Windows application called "SIMple" and is available for free on Dekart's website (no CD is included in the package). It provides the following functionality: - compatible with all versions of Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) - manage Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) and Forbidden Public Land Mobile Network (FPLMN) - print SIM phonebook - export contacts to CSV files - edit fixed dialing numbers (FDN) and last dialed numbers - wipe SIM card, leaving no trace of private data - make copies of SMS messages and contacts stored on SIM card - manage PIN codes of a SIM card Lifetime warranty, technical support and updates are included. SIM Adapters for Micro and Nano SIM Cards are included. I found that to write 'My phone number' to the dedicated 'own number' part of the memory in my SIM, i had to use from line 2 or higher on the software but the result is still the same and my phone no longer displays an ugly 'unknown' where the phone number should be but shows the actual number that I wrote to the SIM using this hardware and their free SIMple software.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this recover texts and pictures?**
A: As long as they are stored in the SIM cards memory this will work a treat for that. Many phones these days store texts and photos on the phones own memory (or even memory cards) so this won't help in those cases. It can only recover what's on the SIM card. My SIM is capable of storing about 25 text messages but this will vary a little from SIM to SIM. Were the photos sent in SMS messages and how many text messages are we talking about?

If you're at all concerned by the fact there are a few negative reviews, it's worth clicking on the 'comment' link below to see Dekarts response. In each of the three negative reviews I've seen, there were excellent responses from Dekart, with no further response from the reviewer involved. How can they help to achieve the wanted outcome where needed information isn't given or it seems the reviewer has misunderstood how many SMS messages can be stored on a SIM for example. After a couple of false starts, the reader worked well. User guidance needs enhancement but positive suggestions have been made. Dekart were helpful and undertook to implement my suggestions.
