To make ice we either had to fiddle about filling ice cube bags or use an ice tray which always spilled and resulted in a sea of ice in the freezer drawer. So, decided to buy this. I don't bother with the small cube setting. It makes ice quite quickly. We use the ice as it produces it and ice that is left over we put in an ordinary freezer bag in the freezer draw. No more fiddling and no more spills. Plenty of ice for the bucket holding the fizz. Only complaint is that it is a bit awkward to clean especially around where the ice is formed. I use a bent bottle brush.
