For midweek dawn patrols, all-night adventures, or just big oudoor objectives that push beyond daylight, the Black Diamond Spot 400 has 400 lumens of power, now housed in a smaller, more efficient design. With a compact body, the Spot 400 features a low profile for better balance and is more ergonomic for added comfort. The user interface also has a second switch for easy lens mode selection. The new Spot 400 is also Dual-Fuel compatible, allowing you to power the light with either the rechargeable BD 1500 Li-ion battery (sold separately) or three standard AAA batteries (included). In addition, the updated optical efficiency not only provides brighter light with more peak intensity, but also saves battery life that you can now easily track with a six-setting, three-LED battery meter. The Spot 400 offers peripheral lighting for close-range activities like sorting gear, cooking, or reading in camp and it sports an IPX8 waterproof housing. The Brightness Memory feature allows you to turn the light on and off at a chosen brightness without reverting back to a default setting. Muy buena lámpara, práctica con sus opciones de luz focalizada, de rango amplio y luz roja fácilmente intercambiables con el interruptor secundario; así como con su cambio de intensidad suave y continuo. El único aspecto que no me agrada es el Power Tap, ya que muchas veces sólo por acomodar la inclinación de la lámpara se activa, o al pasar la cabeza cerca de algo. Sí es molesto que se active tan fácilmente.
