I was advised to get a size 6 by the Vibram UK store as I am normally a size 9 in trainers and 6 in Vibrams would be most fitting. desertcart had suggested size 9 which I was told would be way too big. I got these in 6.5 to wear barefoot. They were way too tight and made my feet hurt. I ordered size 8 and they are a little loose when barefoot so I guess you need to try the shoes on first before working out your size. The fit is quite wide - which suits my feet. The shoes are very well made and look like they're will wear for ages. I'm using them just for gym and circuits and they are great for that. I have wondered several times if they would come off during exercises like burpees or jumping jacks but they stayed firmly on, though my feet did move a little inside. I never wanted these silly looking shoes before but trainers didn't give me the feeling I wanted and actual barefoot training was causing skin to blister or just scrape off during exercise. These have done the job of filing that space between barefoot and trainers. Great grip too. These with the red soles a little less because I'm a little self-conscious of the bright colour. My feet are getting used to uneven, stony roads/lanes, and overall walking feels comfortable. In hot weather, my feet get sweaty so I often put talc/foot powder in them. The first pair, that I have had for over 6 months, is starting to show wear and tear with the sole starting to come away. They've also come in handy out tubing the rivers and you never know what you'll step on. Dry pretty quick too, like really quick. I might get hit with a wave while running and 2 min later they are already dry while I'm still running. Highly recommend getting some toe socks though for beach running. If you're just using them in the boat or out swimming in the ocean or lakes though I wouldn't use the toe socks for that. Do NOT recommend using them on ANY reef though as any form of touching the reef will kill it, even with shoes on. **Q: What if my feet are wide ? Will these be too narrow?** A: I sometimes buy wide shoes, sometimes regular, at all depends on the shoes but I assume my feet are wider than average. These fit great and I have no problem with them not being wide enough. I have never needed a wide version of vibrams. **Q: are these authentic vibram or counterfeit?** A: They are not fake and the only reason the say imported is because the factory and company are not all in the same place so there HQ is in Italy and if they get supplies from the USA to make the shoe the the parts of shoe made from that can say imported. But thees shoes the kso black on black pair are real vibrams for sure **Q: Are there toe dividers (like my toe socks where each toe is separated) in the toe box of this shoe? Fit is good look good and they wear well. I only use them in the gym as I bought them for mainly squating and deadlift. They work better then the chucks I used to wear for this purpose. Washed them a few times in washing machine and they look good as new. I sweat a lot but these haven't picked up the smell much. As long as you let them dry out naturally not stuck in your gym bag. I have sensitive skin and I get sores and dry skin on my feet sometimes.
