They are constructed out of panels (cut on the bias) that hug the body, yet provide maximum movement, especially due to the under arm gusset. I lap swim several x a week, and this brand stays in place without riding up or any need to keep tugging down. The stitching on the flat locked seams is not itchy and is secure. On shirts with long arms, the sleeves fit snugly and do not fill up with water coming in at the wrist. Yes, these shirts take a bit of wriggling to get into, but once in the water, feel invisible and do help to keep your core body temperature warm. To remove, roll up in the opposite direction away from the body; shirt is inside out once off. Like any garment with Lycra content, do not put in automatic dryer. Hang to dry.
