Ie l=xxcm etc** A: hi i bought xl then sent them back as they were to tight ..they are quite flexible but very snug ..if your on the chunky side like me get the xxl... i have just had a knee replacement and these support just fine **Q: How do I know which size to choose?** A: I asked my physiotherapist to measure my knee at various points and judged it from there. They have a measuements chart **Q: When i measured above my knee it is 16" which would mean i need a large size. However, do i need to pull the tape meaure super, super tight or not?** A: You need to have it tight enough to support your knee,but not so tight that is uncomfortable **Q: Want to wear these for hiking, will they give enough support for my knees?** A: I purchased this item as I play a lot of badminton, and for doing long walks etc. I have found no discomfort for both. I would think as long as your wearing the right footwear for hiking, these supports should be no problem.
