I use a LOT of papers ranging from coated stocks to rough recycled test paper. If ever there was an end-user to give one of these punches a proper thorough durability test, I more than qualify. The inch square cuts as good as it did on day one. The inch circle is cutting perfectly fine a week in used for hours a day. Firstly: The construction is SOLID. This is a better quality punch than any office ring binder hole punch you'd ever use. Solid plastics, solid metals. good strong spring. No crappy hinges or rivets. If you're the sort of individual that looks after your kit and doesn't just sling it in a box of things that will damage the die-cut underneath - you'll be owning an item that will serve you - as it has for me - a long time.
