**Q: Made in USA ??**
A: No, they're not made in the USA or China.  Authentic Silpat items are made in France.  The product description on this page is a mistake.  

Yes, there are fakes out there, as well.  Just make sure you purchase either directly from Amazon or from a seller with solid feedback and has been in business for awhile.  That way, if there truly is a problem, it will be handled and you'll get the correct item.  Otherwise, you're at a much higher risk of authenticity shenanigans.

**Q: What size (in inches) is the perfect cookie circles?**
A: Small circle 1 1/2" and the larger one 2 1/2"

**Q: Does it matter what kind of baking sheet you put the silo at over? Does it effect how your cookies turn out?**
A: I've used it with a variety of sheets, I choose based on weather or not I want sides for the cookie, the sheet works with them all.  Things that I want crisper or more browned, I usually go for no sides, ones that are going to cook a little longer I prefer sides.

Love this mat Keeps the sheet pan 100% clean and looking new This is what real pastry chefs and bakers use in Paris so I wanted to have the real thing! Easy to hand wash/rinse and air dry. Only thing I failed to do was measure my sheet pans. When the Silpat arrived, it was too large for my big box store sheet pans. So I actually replaced them with some from amazon that are the correct size for my Silpat. Very happy with my purchase!
