I use a fully-flat (hand thrown) ceramic mug and at the 170F temp, it is almost too hot to drink - amazing! I usually set the warmer at 150 and it keeps my coffee/tea at a perfect drinkable temperature. I love that it automatically turns off so I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. I also like the weight sensor that puts the heater in stand-by when the mug is not on the warmer. The cord length is also nice for reaching my outlet that a previous warmer couldn't reach without an extension cord.
