I've had near misses a couple of times over the last month when I've opened the padlock, then dropped it, the combination has shifted without me realising, the arm has pressed in (and reset the combination code), then I've carried on to close the padlock and of course moved the dials with no idea of what the new (random) combination might be!! I've done a review to this effect as I think it's a design flaw in that it's too easy to accidently set a new, unknown, combination.I'll be getting a different lock even though it's a fine lock in every other sense. **Q: Just received my lock and it wont let me set a new code. I did step one by using 0000 code it opened then it won't let me do step 4 to press down** A: Sounds like you have probably set the code by mistake as they are all pre set to the 0000 code.
