Any reason I should be worried about it?** A: Yes! Excellent on cast iron, glass, stove top, stainless steel. I believe, possibly, they are imbedded with silica. I give them as gifts. It's hard, "scrubby" and it dries quickly. **Q: Are these biodegradable/compostable?** A: The scrub is not compostable as it has a non-toxic resin hardener on it.
