I drove home hating it and searched online for a dark grey dye. I saw this and sort of panic bought thinking 'it can't get any worse..' I applied and left on for 15 mins (rather than 3-5, my hair is thick and struggles to take). The colour is GORGEOUS. I've had so many compliments. Because of the colour before it isn't exactly grey but a nice, blended brown/grey. I didn't colour the grey but applied to the dyed and stripped using a brush. The colour is natural and pretty. It washes well. I've had so many compliments, including being told I look younger. Even with more grey! I'm wondering why I have been getting it professionally coloured when this is available and is so much better. Honestly, three washes in and the fade isn't huge. I can highly recommend. It did not damage my hair. It did not come out the tube black. It was more like a dark purple colour. I used it on hair that had been bleached and had the light orange bits toned down with purple shampoo. It gave a really nice grey which looked even better after the second wash. However, after a month or so, i did not re-apply as reviews said here that it washes out back to your base colour. It didn't. Even after using a clarifying shampoo a few times, it just stayed a dirty colour. I had to apply a bleach bath to get the original colour back.
