As many will know there's quite a choice of sharpeners out there. In the end, I chose RW's own as, logically, it should match the quality of their knives. Yes, I had taken note of some of the negative reviews. However, I'm pretty sure that some of these are, as is often the case, user error. I've read & applied the instructions carefully.
