He can mostly go to the cafeteria now, and he can stay in class longer. He can also hang out with his friends in a noisy space because he can turn off the room and just hear his friends. What is more, he can now handle public transportation without losing his mind. All in all, these things are a dream come true. I have recommended these to another student who was non-functional in a regual classroom and she now works with in the class, in the class. I love these things! One note however, my kids is a teen and the buds are made for an adult ear. He cannot wear them for very long because they start to hurt his ear. Once they make this things for kids and teens, I will be a very happy parent. The bluetooth is beyond terrible. If you are holding your phone in your hand, the sound will cut out, BECAUSE YOUR HAND IS TOO FAR AWAY from the IQ Buds. So you either will have to hold your phone close to your head at all time, or you need to wear a jacket with an shallow inner pocket that is at chest height. Just forget about putting your phone in your pants' pocket like a normal person.Ironically, the SINC (Super Intelligent Noise Cancellation) is really DUMB! You manually will have to open the app and constantly tweak it, else when you are in "World On" mode, it will let in a strange metallic hiss whether you are in a park or in the street. Have this product with been tested outside before release?They are also bulky and the design is unflattering, making you look like a dork. The piano black and painted silver looks cheap and reminds me of gadgets from the late 90's. Touch control feels too simple and inaccurate to be useful for anything but pausing the music.The battery is great. Lasts for days. But the buds don't always rest properly in the charging box, making it sometime emit loud squeals due to audio feedback.I really want to like these. I want to love them! But there are so many annoying things that makes me angry at them, every single day I use them. Hopefully there will be an improved iteration of them in the future, but currently buyer beware. But be aware that mine have started to come apart which means charging is now a pain. It started within a year but because of traveling I wasn’t able to return for an exchange/refund.
