I have 105 and it works fine. Packaging says it will do Dura-Ace and also Ultegra. **Q: are these compatible with shimano tiagra?** A: Yes there are, as long as your brake pads are a cartridge based system. **Q: Are these suitable for a mavic aksium aluminium wheel or will they wear it down?** A: I'm sure any blocks will wear down the rim of any wheel. The rate of wear will depend on how clean the contact surface is. It will wear down less in clean dry conditions and more in wet muddy conditions. **Q: How long are these pads** A: These will fit any standard size road caliper block holders (the ones with the small grub screw at front end). they are approx 2" (52mm) long.
