It looks like a small plastic mirrored school ruler but with markings to suit lining up cartridge rather than length measurement. Hope this helps. **Q: will it work for 45 records** A: As far as I am aware it's for lining up the cartridge/stylus which when set is in alignment for all records. Would HATE to have to change every time I played a 7, 10 or 12 inch record - That would be as annoying as predictive text! **Q: Is this protractor good to use for a 12-inch arm, please?
