I put MONO Short straps on all of my electric guitars and basses. I'm a thinner female so the padded nature of this strap feels amazing; it doesn't cut into my collarbones or cut off my circulation. I'd recommend this strap to anyone, but folks who may be on the shorter or thinner side will especially appreciate it. It's so comfortable and doesn't cause you fatigue when you play standing up for hours. I've had all 3 of my MONO straps for years and they still hold up well. I just measured 2 of my straps, one is 46" hole to hole and the other is 47".** A: Hi Shredso - you're right on the brink there so you'd need one short and one long Better for each instrument with the differing length of strap required as the Betty Short works from 40" to 46" and the Betty Long works from 47" to 59". **Q: Is the short length ok for an acoustic guitar ?** A: I got the Long’s on a taylor acoustic and a PRs electric and I’m 5’10 and 200lbs. You can always shorten the long’s but not lengthen the shorts. So when I saw that this (kind of) unusual guitar (or bass) strap was also offered in my most favored of hues, I knew I needed one. After playing for several hours, I must say this strap delivers what MONO advertised, that is to say, a consiberable felt difference in the instrument's weight. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a HUGE difference, i.e, your Les Paul isn't gonna feel like a ukelele, but the strain on your shoulder and back will be reduced. Thanks in part to the memory foam, extremely rugged construction and choice of materials (neoprene underside and "Sharkskin" top layer), this guitar strap feels more like a piece of military equipment than any other strap on the market (especially those cheezy leather straps with fake plastic "bullets" sewn in, boo!!). I play a feather light Ibanez JS24P and a Schecter 8 string, and this makes the Schecter feel slightly less like the granite countertop it is. So yeah, I would recomend it. Keep in mind kids: you get what you pay for. If the price tag is too steep, get an Ernie ball nylon strap for the $8.00 to $10.00 price point, but if you want something that appears to be very well built and maybe lighten the load a little bit, get this one.
