The best before date is approx. 6 - 8 months after you receive it. I have used it beyond the best before date and it has always been perfect. I grew up in the city where it's made, right around the corner from the factory. When we were very young, the guys working there used to throw us jars on the loading dock. I highly recommend it. **Q: Do you get 4 jars?** A: Yes, I got 4 jars **Q: Can you use it for cupcake icing.** A: I used to try to ice a birthday cake to look like clouds...It didn't work. The fluff, while delicious, doesn't hold a fluffy shape and kind of melts down too a gloop.
