Bought on the 13th October 2107 and it didn't see in the New Year!. Have changed the battery and even tried different makes of battery but now every time I try to switch it on it just displays 'LO'. Tried different batteries and used the battery in the spare thermometer which worked fine. Battery voltage in excess if 1.6V so not the battery. Very disappointing as it has been a good thermometer. I have tried many different makes over the years but rarely get more than 12 months out of any. For the price it has been worth every penny.
