Review: SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE - I am so pleased with this unit, it worked straight away pairing easily with my phone and tablet. It's so simple to set up, even a pensioner could do it !!!! Out of the box, plug it into the iPod Dock 30 Pin port and it immediately started looking for BlueTooth devices. My phone was also visible and it paired almost instantly. The sound was great too although with no music playing, it is possible to hear the data transfer noises made by my phone. To be fair though, that my be the fault of my phone so I haven't marked it down for that. I easily paired it to a second device. Simply press and hold the button on the left side of the LAYEN iDOCK adaptor until the blue light blinks quickly, it is then visible to other devices. It is definitely a worthwhile upgrade to give the old iPod Dock, which doesn't have an auxiliary socket or any other form of imput, a new lease of life. I'm guessing that it will even make it possible to connect this old, but great, sound system to a new Alexa or similar BlueTooth device.
Review: Very useful Bluetooth module - Bought this to replace an earlier model that got broken whilst not in the unit. New one works well and easy to set up and connect to.

**Q: Anyone tried this with the Apple iPod Hi-Fi dock?**
A: I can now confirm that this item works perfectly with the Apple iPod HiFi speaker. I bought it specifically for that purpose a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it!

**Q: Can I use my BOSE remote control to skip the songs or playlists? Does LAYEN supports this feature?**
A: Not sure about the Bose remote control...however....I have a Vita Audio unit and the remote skips tracks, volume control a treat with the wireless dock attached.  You can still skip tracks with the phone, iPod, iPad that is connected to the Layen Dock...its a good piece of kit !  Recommended.

**Q: Does this support bluetooth controls? i.e. play/pause and forward/backward?**
A: We have 2 in the house, both used with iPhones, both support all functions from the phone

**Q: Does this have an AUX 3.5mm jack for connecting with speakers, basically not using the dock slot at all?**
A: No this one is for dock use only.  they have a separate product that has a 3.5mm output

Excellent! Worked first time. If used a a bedroom you may wish to shield the blue LED indicator which is surprisingly bright. Otherwise it’s fine.
